About Us

Our Philosophy

A Child’s Place Academy we believe learning begins at birth and we provide a safe, nurturing and developmentally appropriate program that fosters active learning, support for the whole child, and a child friendly environment.   Most of our founding principles and core of our curriculum come from Illinois State Standards:

  • All children need to know they belong to loving families and caring communities.
  • Each child is unique.
  • Every child is entitled to respect.
  • We must never give up on any child.
  • Children can learn from their mistakes.  They deserve systems that give them that opportunity.
  • Children are individuals who develop at different rates.
  • Young children are capable and competent.
  • Young children learn through active exploration of their environment in child initiated and teacher initiated activities.
  • Families are the primary caregivers and educators of young children.
  • Early learning and development are multidimensional.  Developmental domains are highly interrelated.

Our Why

Mission

A Child’s Place Academy will be the voice of the children.  As a caring and loving staff we will develop the children’s minds.  Their more than children, they’re the future.

Vision

We promise to consistently give a great, fun and educational experience that shows in the smile of every child we care for.  We want every parent to know how much we care for their children.

A Child’s Place Academy provides a variety of healthy meals and snacks.

Our menu provides wholesome meals and satisfying snacks that meet federal and state requirements and guidelines established by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). We also work with food manufacturers to create appropriate portion sizes and nutritional ingredients for children. If your child has a special nutritional need or requires an adaptation to our menu, we will work with your family to create a plan that adequately meets your child's needs. Meals and snacks include a variety of food groups including meat and meat alternatives, bread and grains, fruits, vegetables and fluid milk. Meals and snacks include carbohydrates, proteins and fat to give children energy, while maintaining total calories within recommended ranges specific to a child’s age group and level of activity. Meals and snacks have limited added sugar and sodium and increased dietary fiber.
